"Shrew" Really Showplaces Poplar Lawn Talent

Sycamore Rouge's opening of "The Taming of the Shrew" last night not only provided the town with a wonderful and imaginative interpretation of Shakespeare but also helped remind us of the wellspring of creativity in our neighborhood. Chris Shorr, who can sometimes be seen lazing on his park-facing porch, is the producer. Susan Brown, of Adams Street, did an amazing job of painting Robin Armstrong's equally amazing puppets. This is not meant to be a review, but the production and the energetic cast are exceptional. Just go see it.
